Tightrope Walking...

Over the weekend we went to King's Island to watch Nick Wallenda walk a tightrope 262' high! He walked from a crane just outside the main entrance to the park all the way over the fountains and to the Eiffel Tower - more than 800' in length. The rope - the same thickness as the diameter of a nickel.

The Wallenda's are world famous for their tightrope circus acts. Nick is something like the 5th generation. These people are NUTS! LOL But it was fun to watch. He looked like a dancer with very smooth, fluid movements. Steady pace. It took him about 20 mins to make it from one end to the other. Very interesting to watch.

The photos are poor because I took them on my phone. The top one is him just getting started. The 2nd is him getting close to the Eiffel Tower. (the Eiffel Tower at King's Island is one third the scale of the real Eiffel Tower in Paris - it's cool. You can see it for quite a ways when driving through the King's Mill area)
